Working Sick

I’m one of those idiots that likes working no matter what the conditions are. I don’t mean like the physical nature of the work environment. I mean the sheer fact that working when sick is something that I do all the time. I remember I was at this one company and I had the flu, and couldn’t eat anything, and was drinking water and gatorade as my only recourse, and was still putting in full 10 to 12 hour days trying to make ends meet. I was trying to my mom, who is a single parent, and at the same time go to school full time. The feeling of being sick as a dog, and working, is not one that I want everyone to feel, but unfortunately for me and my crummy situations, it’s a necessary evil.

So right now at 5:27 am, I’m trying to get all my “work” done, so that I can go back to bed for a few hours, then start my day off again with more work. School work for four hours, then I have the Video Store to look forward to. The place of stench and a coworker that likes playing the Simpsons as if they canceled the series. I’m in for a nice 5 hours of stupid customers, while I am trying to fight a cold that I missed during Round 1 and Round 2, now this is Round 3 and I’m nearly out of it.

The medicines aren’t working that well either.

$15 to see a doctor. If it gets worse, maybe I’ll cave in, if I have time.
