Since I’ve been getting up to 27 movies a week, I’ve had some major overflow in my dvd reviews. So instead of letting it all wash up into one major site, I’m going to talk a little about the movies I see here.
This morning I have been up since four oclock in the morning.
This mornings selection was: The Eyes of Tammy Faye
If you know me, You’ll know that I’m not the average Christian person. I have become all things to all men in some ways. I have turned into someone that accepts a lot more than rejects, and have been trying to actively seek out my own personal relationship before I begin to meddle into people’s lives. I think that there is much to be said about this topic, but we’ll talk about it later.
In regards to Tammy Faye, I had an idea that she was part of a huge scandal and that she deserved what she got and her husband deserved what he got too. Then I saw this film and I changed my whole opinion. Not only were they caught up in a twisted game, they were a part of a culture that kills their wounded, as Pat Boone stated.
I’m not a fan of religion, but I know that there is great strength in knowledge and wisdom. For myself in regards to knowledge, I am thankful that I know about these things because it makes me feel better at times.
In regards to the highlights of the film, the movie featured Ru Paul narrating! This movie is a great piece of documentary film, and I would actually buy it!
My favorite part, other than the story itself, is the fact that her son was wearing a shirt that featured one of my favorite bands: “The Blamed”.
The dvd is now available through amazon and if you’re going to buy it, check out my dvd blog and use my affiliate link….it would help a brotha out!
