‘WHEN the internet took off in the 1990s, it was demonised as a steaming cauldron of porn. It has certainly made pornography more widely and easily available than ever before. “

The first musings I had with the internet had to do with porn. That is correct folks, the earliest inklings of online boredom was porn. As with many other people around my age at the time, we were all instantly hooked.
Well after years of boredom online, and a lot of prayer, I no longer spend hours trying to find the sickest things online. I spend my time earning money online, and there’s no room for growth in that market. Especially after seeing this article from the Economist online. The Economist explains that there is a new market in town and that is the social networking markets, and not so much the markets we were expecting. (I.E Porn) Porn is million, no, billion dollar industry, and it is interesting to see that there is something waning…the desire to see it. More people are interested in pimping out their myspace than they are with simply looking for porn online. That is something that I like to hear.
But what is that saying about internet users? I am still debating what it means on the global scale.

Hmmm, maybe self-gratification is something we like, but we like communicating and community even more?
I love the Economist by the way. Always a great source of info.
