I have seven full time blogs. I’m starting to feel the effects of working so hard on all of them. I’m really winding down and getting tired. Why so many? Simply because one blog couldn’t contain all the things that I wanted to talk about. This blog would be updated so much that you would never get to read any of it, I would be all over the place!
So instead of forcing readers to go through all sorts of different content in one area, I spread it out across seven blogs with different themes and different content. The hard thing is continually providing worthwhile content, while not crossing over on all fronts and reposting the same thing.
The other downside in regards to this is the fact that I’m up at 4 am on a daily basis. I begin blogging around 4:45 AM after the cobwebs are cleared, and I begin the task of reading all the RSS feeds that are pouring relentlessly into my google reader, and look for topics of my other blogs.
Here’s the kicker: In regards to my DVD Review blog, I have a heck of a time. When I want to just sleep in, I can’t. I have to watch a dvd to come up with reviews for the blog.
The payoff is the money that is made through the sites that I blog for. I also get a fraction of a cent from google and yahoo ads. The money made from there goes into a retirement fund for me since my job and career rarely take are of their employees. So I’m trying to garner a little extra so that I don’t become an old bitter man with nothing to show for my life, and living in government retirement living…I would like to have something extra.
So where is the pain?
Well yesterday my stomach was killing me. I thought for sure I was nearing a flu like recourse, but instead it was just a mixture of hunger and fatigue. I also had a huge headache, which is rare for me to have. My eyes weren’t functioning correctly either. They were seeing double and mixing the letters. So I had to take a break and blog later on in the day.
This morning my eyes are burning and it’s only been 27 minutes of pure blogging.
I just got WWE 24/7. It’s a video on demand service on my television that provides programming from WWE’s past and present at the touch of a button. That is taking away my attention this morning for sure. I’m watching a classic card from the 1980’s when wrestling wasn’t considered so fake in my eyes. I still love it, don’t get me wrong, but it was just a different..dare I say better…era of professional wrestling.
My other blogs are continually being updated. Some are just not as good and filled with writing as this one is, but I try my best to find something to say, even if it is just rambling and non sense. I figure that’s worth something.
My most prolific blog is this one and my wwe and dvd review blogs. I love these three the most because they deal with things that revolve around my friendless universe. (at least very close friends) But I love them non the less.
I tried doing a religious blog once, but it’s too hard to not offend people, or it’s too hard to gather thoughts when the simplicity of such things like Psalm 69 get me teary eyed.
All in all, I’m feeling the pain of blogging so much, and I can’t wait for Saturday, where I take a minor break from blogging and Sunday where I just don’t blog at all.
I’m definitely not “loving” the whole thing as much as I thought I once would. But I’m pressing on, because the flames can come back and I can be back in the saddle, when my eyes aren’t so red.

I don’t know how you do it. I already find it hard to regularly update one blog - so many things to say, but writing good posts takes time ! - that I’d go crazy with 7 blogs.
On the long term, maybe you should do a DVD section in this blog and close your other one ? I mean, I wouldn’t mind seeing DVD review in this blog.
