You may have noticed today that I’ve decided to instate more google ads on my page. This is to monetize the service and to try and see if I can generate traffic through good old fashioned better writing, easier style, and force.
This of course means that I won’t be using traffic generators for the next 30 days to see if these ads really do what people say. If I’m successful I will tell you how, and if they are not working, I will also tell you. Traffic generators make up a grand percentage of my traffic, however, I think that I have enough skills to get people to come look at this page without relying on the “inline” traffic that those generator’s offer.
These sites that produce traffic also offer non rotating services.
- Banner Ads: They allow you to have banner ads rotating on several sites, and their own site, as well as the inline 30 second rotations. Your website does NOT garner hits unless someone clicks on the banner. This means you’ll have to surf to get more impressions and that might be tough. I have used blogexplosion.com on several occasions to show my banner ads and after 28,083 impressions served, I had 23 hits on the banner. That’s not a whole lot, but it’s real interested traffic and not 30 second cycled traffic, which doesn’t violate google’s policy.
- Text Links: The traffic generating sites offer text links all over the place. You can pay a small fee for them, or you can simply have them served inside the rotating banner, or in several other places that many people might see them. Again, your site is not seen unless someone clicks on the link ad. Again this is real targeted traffic from interest, not surfing.
- Link Exchange: These sites offer “iframe” link exchanges across many different platforms. Again, this is NOT a violation of google, and therefore can help you get real traffic.
That’s right folks, I’m going to see if these services are worth while. For the next 30 days I’m going to be trying my best to generate traffic through those means. Sure the hits aren’t going to be in the hundreds of thousands and the drop off will be immense. But I feel that I will come out on top because the traffic I will get will be from search engines, and interested parties that click on ads, banners, and other means that are not a violation of adsense.
So here’s a toast to my former method for at least 30 days. If it doesn’t work, I’ll rid the site of google, except for the “pages” section and other randomly placed. I’m hoping for the best….wish me luck.

I wish you luck
I’m sure a lot of bloggers will be waiting for the verdict !
yeah, i saw a guy with a check for 100,000 plus dollars from adsense and saw his site…basic stuff.
I am hoping to get 1% of that
Good luck, I’d be happy with .1% of that per month.
