The Alexa Toolbar

If you’re one that uses toolbars to make the internet a little swifter to browse and find new things. You might have run into the Alexa Toolbar. Alexa, from what I have noticed is important because they dish out traffic ratings and follow along the path of bloggers looking to see their stats in a more convenient location. I’ve noticed that Alexa ratings can make or break some sites income in the world of “Paid Blogging”.

So why am I talking about it?

Is this a paid post?

The answer to the second question is NO.

The reason why I’m mentioning the toolbar, is because it truly is somewhat interesting. It shows you related links to what you’re browsing so that if you are looking at say…Comic Book Websites and you’re looking for something in particular and can’t find it via traditional google searches you might find it with a related link.

For bloggers concerned with ranking, and traffic, it also shows you how far your site reaches, the alexa ranking, the traffic trends and all sorts of nifty things.

If you shop with Amazon.com then you can integrate the toolbar to have easy access to Amazon.com for many different reasons. That’s something really cool.

Try it out, it doesn’t contain spyware, adware, or anything malicious, and truly does help the browsing experience. I’m using it instead of the google toolbar, and it’s not half bad. Really, the Alexa Toolbar is quite interesting. You don’t Have to do anything, but if you were interested in the Alexa toolbar before, you might be now. You can download it HERE

Great Find! I’ve installed it, and in Firefox it is a great way to see traffic ratings for any site! Not only that, but I can also see the Alexa rank, allowing me to tell if a site is really as popular as they tell you it is! My advice, if you surf the web for more than 20 minutes a day, you NEED this toolbar! I absolutely love it! Thanks for spreading the word Jorge!!!
