Before I moved to Seattle in March, everyone was warning me about the rain. Since arriving here in March I haven’t really seen this rain that everyone is forecasting. It’s late September and while the temperature has been dropping tremendously, the rain hasn’t arrived yet, and I’m just wondering what everyone is talking about?

Seriously, this city couldn’t have been farther from the warnings. So far little rain, little cold, and a lot of sunny days and baseball games have been enjoyed by yours truly.

The only downside to Seattle so far has been the rising price of living. I have been here for a short time and I have seen housing go up in price, as well as an increase in rent in the apartment that I live in, with hopes of getting another rent increase sooner than later. It’s going to end badly.

I’m already looking for a new place, but I have to keep in mind that my job is not exactly located in a poor neighborhood and commuting (something that I hate) might be a reality that I have to face as I grow older.

Sadly, I don’t want to drive.
