Tech Vacation

As a computer tech, and one that generally makes a few bucks here and there online, it’s hard for me for to take a break.

The last few days I’ve been in a cave of sorts. I took a few days off for Thanksgiving (unpaid) and was in the cold tundra of Moscow, Idaho.

I had many chances to go online, and satisfy my urges to go on the internet and play around, but instead I forced myself away from the computer screen and did the only thing that I don’t do when I’m working my 2 jobs, and trying my best to keep sane; watch television.

A tech’s vacation is odd in my view. I long to be on the computer, but that’s my job, so to truly rest my hands, brain, and eyes (in a way) I decided to melt on the couch for a few days.

Is that so wrong?

I’m back in Seattle now, and it’s back to the plow, and while I do feel a little more refreshed than usual, I still am very tired, and am recovering from a lot of rest. I wish the rest was more than just a few days, and maybe someday I can be lucky enough to work from home, but until that marvelous day, I have to be up earlier than the rooster’s sound, and have to deal with the blessings of having to wake up so early. It’s not so bad.
