Best Blog Posts This Week (1/13 edition)

Every week on this site I’m going to highlight what I believe was the best posts of the blogging world. I subscribe to over 1,000 rss feeds and I compile a list for every sunday. So while you’re resting, or surfing the net at work, you can have something to look at. Here’s this week’s best of!

Ths week we have a top 8, and then a top 6 so let’s see what went down!

7. Again with the comics had a great post about Fat Super Hero’s with something so rad: SCANS! Not only does he talk about them, he has proof! I love these things, you owe it to yourself to see more of Fat Super Hero’s…I guess even the obesity rate in Superhero world is America’s fault.

6. An educational Comic Book? Nothing new right? But dustmybroom.com had a post about how the U.N and Spiderman, with Marvel ready to roll the dice.

5. A couple of band members of my favorite band Stavesacre bought a record store, had Mxpx play a free gig, and got media coverage in the OC weekly all in a few weeks. I think that’s rad, and I love record shops, vinyl, and music in general, so this post was a great one for my personally.

4. Art is something that I”m fond of, being an artist and having a degree from an Art College, makes me a little more artistically inclined than I would like to admit. Over at Joel Harris Studio, you can see a bunch of drawings from the earliest years to the most recent works he has done in chronological order. An amazing array of drawings, making an incredible post, and something worth calling art.

3. Over at Racketboy.com there was an awesome post about this cool hand held gaming console called the Sega Game Gear and he goes to report some awesome facts and figures about the only handheld that I personally never owned. I love this guys site, it’s like my comic book blog mixed with gaming and then some. My childhood is somehow connected to this awesome site…and this post is great. check it out.

2. Some scary news from The Unapologetic Mexican made me want to march down to the border of the U.S and Mexico and put on a pair of brass knuckles and start mopping up. News came out that they want to sedate Mexicans before tossing over to the other side. That’s right, this takes “don’t taze me bro” to all new heights.

1. The #1 post is not much of a post as it is the BEST COMIC BOOK BLOG period! Seriously, this is an awesome blog and what is it about? One simple thing: The Incredible Hulk. An Incredible Hulk fan is on a quest to collect everything there is in the Hulk universe. From lunch boxes, toys, coins, comics, and more, there is more Hulk stuff than you can shake a stick at. The biggest Hulk fan has a great blog, and I wish my Daredevil collection mirrored this Hulk collection.

Now for the best of my own personal blogs:

I write for a lot of my own blogs but they are about niche topics that I know about, so here’s the best of those:

6. This is the LAST time I’m going to talk about this one, and rightfully so, it’s my longest running blog that really didn’t go anywhere. I wrote 1200+ posts for this blog and it began before I was married and carried me through some hard times. I ended it last night, like a bad relationship it was an emotional ride. No more Sir Jorge Online…but who needs that when you have Video Store Blues?

5. Over at The Mexican Dvd Review I reviewed a documentary on Marijuana and the actor doing the narration; WOody Harrelson! The movie is called Grass and it’s interesting to see how far pro-marijuana advocates will go to convince audiences that it should be legalized.

4. Over at my WWE Blog I discovered that TRIPLE H (HHH) cut open his opponent on live television. Now we know that wrestling is fake, but is the blood fake? After watching this awesome video, you’re going to to admit that Wrestling is not as fake as the real world sometimes.

3. My comic book blog took a major turn for the worse when I proved without a shadow of a doubt that Iron Man sucks hard. How can I make such a bold statement? Well find out over there, he totally gets pwned by Thor & The Incredible Hulk!

2. I love skateboarding, and with skateboarding comes great writing and poor writing but with a passion and love that is as sincere as I am on this blog. This week I wrote a little something about how Seattle has been getting major media (in regards to skateboarding) coverage from magazines, to popular videos, Seattle is the focus of this month’s skateboarding media. I love it! Check out the post that showcases how to get free dvd’s, free videos, and a cool magazine featuring the city I live in, Seattle. All that and more at sirjskateboarding.blogspot.com, my skateboarding blog.

1. First and foremost, my favorite blog (that i write) is my horror movie blog, I love horror. I updated the header to showcase that Ash approves! But more importantly I reviewed Hostel 2 last week (1/3) and there was a scene so graphic that I was wondering how in the world anyone allowed this movie to be made. I reviewed it….I watched it, I need a shower. Hostel II is not for the ordinary fan, that’s for sure.

ANd that’s a wrap for this weeks “best of” the blogging world for me. I subscribe to over 1,000 Rss Feeds, I read theM ALL and I think some are better than others. Disagree? Then let me know, comment and tell me so, and get me to talk about your blog. I would love to.

If you’re digging what I’m doing, please help me out. Check out my comic book store, skateboard shop, or look at the related links on my sites…they help me pay for things like a Netflix account, comic books, and hopefully something for you guys, as I want to give back to you, my loyal 7 fans on feedburner and my 9 or so frequent readers and commenters!

Oh and if you really dig something, a stumble or thumbs up would be nice too.

If you want to be featured in these best of posts, let me know. I’ll add you to my list of rss feeds and websites to read. Contacting me is easy…so say hello, and show me what you’ve got.

OMG Jorge! I KNOW those people from the unapologetic Mexican link. Oh God. I haven’t been asking his brother lately what’s up because it’s such a horrible situation. Small, small world. I just hate this. There are so many immigrants where I live–I don’t get why they are doing this to this poor guy! And the drug thing…aughhhh!!! This hits close to home in so many ways.

I was going to comment on your 1000 RSS feeds, but now I’m just sitting here shaking my head in shock. That sucks sooo sooo much.
