Strange Wilderness Movie Review

Last week I had the opportunity to fly to Los Angeles and spend time with my mom and sister, and therefore was not readily available for lots of updates on this site.

While I was there though, I had the rare opportunity to go to the movies after the matinee’s were all concluded. The movie selection was not that great near my mom’s house, so I had to settle for a comedy…a comedy that deserves an NC-17 Rating…but got an R instead.

Strange Wilderness is the latest offering from the people that brought you Grandma’s Boy. The film has a simple plot out line, and a laugh a minute comedic effort.

Wikipedia states:

Animal enthusiast Peter Gaulke and his sidekick Fred Wolf host a program about wildlife called “Strange Wilderness,” which is in a steep ratings decline. Desperate to save the show, Peter hatches a Hail Mary scheme to find the one animal that could truly turn the show around and change the nature-show landscape forever - Bigfoot.

I found this film to be great, and perfectly executed in the same manner that I thought Grandma’s Boy was a hilarious romp through video game testing.

This movie can be summed up in a matter of words…all of which will either make you want to see it, or completely absolve any respect you have of me on reviewing films and film recommendations.

From jokes about the male anatomy, to visual things that are just wrong…such as a turkey, gag reflex, and a penis to smoking weed, hookers, Mexican stereotypes, half eaten human beings, politically incorrect language, profanity, shark attacks, mockery of wild life, sexual situations, to fart jokes and badly done cg, this film has it all if you’re 18 to 25 years old and are either a pot head, college student, or just appreciate the off the wall humor and style.

This movie is so far worse than I could ever explain. If you’re uptight at all, even a little bit, you’re going to be appalled that anyone approved this film. This movie is insane.

I liked it. But I also liked Grandma’s Boy, so that’s not say a whole lot. Here’s a trailer:
