Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz,Terry Hope Romero Review

Veganomicon on sale now

As some of you may remember, this year I’ve started a new diet. It’s not exactly an easy thing, but I’ve been working on it and to help me along my way, I’ve discovered an awesome book called Veganomicon! It’s not your average cook book, that’s the first thing I noticed from this colossal 300 page hardcover book.

Right off the bat I looked at the pictures, as cook books should always come with pictures, and I was surprised to see that vegan cooking isn’t as crazy and dry as I once thought. The recipes range from all over the map, from breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to decadent desserts that will have your mouth watering in mere moments.

The book is straight forward and doesn’t require a “chef’s” brain to understand the measurements or the processes. It is a marvelous book full of great recipes that will have you considering the vegan lifestyle a little more than usual.

While I don’t profess to be a vegan, or even close to become a vegan, I do recommend this cookbook, it will spice up your diet in such a great way and it’s very healthy for you. I’m surprised that eating this extremely well, can taste so marvelous. Veganomicon has already been considered the ultimate vegan cookbook, and let me tell you, this thing is amazing!

The last vegetarian/vegan cookbooks I had was “Food Not Bombs” and “Soy not Oi” both of which had me eating some gluten free pancakes with bananas on more than one occasion.

Overall, this is a great buy, and I highly recommend this cook book to anyone that is interested in adding more color to their diet, while cutting the animal products. I’m still amazed at how good the recipes are and how great the food tastes.
