10 Feet AKA The Trouble With J-Rock

10 Feet Japanese Punk Rock
I was introduced to 10 Feet courtesy of a blog I found on entrecard entitled Sparkplugged and they are so rad. Maybe it’s just that they are Japanese so I’m already thinking that they are better than any American counterpart, even though I’m probably wrong for that notion altogether. These guys play a brand of punk rock that I enjoy greatly. It’s sometimes referred to as pop-punk, citing the more melodious tones, coupled with fast guitars, and vocals you can usually understand. Here’s a music video:

10-Feet’s music is available through Amazon.com, but man the import rate is not cheap :( For their upcoming album it’s 57.99 to import it to me in Seattle. I’m sad. If you’ve got deep pockets or love J-Rock a lot, then check out their upcoming album, or be like me and buy some of their other albums for way less….seems odd…here’s the list.

You can pre-order 10 Feet’s upcoming album by clicking here, at a huge rate.

But…if you’re more like me and budget minded, they have less expensive releases…so I’ll have to settle for their older stuff.

Pick up Lion by 10 Feet , or Goes On, both significantly lower priced than their upcoming album. I assume the price will drop sooner than later…I hope.

Oh, the Japanese, not only am I enjoying their fine cuisine, I’m now enjoying their punk rock academy fight songs, even though I have no idea what they are saying. It’s ok though.

Happy to find another 10-FEET fan. I think you characterized their sound perfectly. “Lion” is one of my favorite songs :)

I’m a big fan of j-rock. What do you think of The Pillows or Asian Kung-Fu Generation?
