This weekend has hit me quite hard. I had to do my taxes. One thing that a lot of bloggers don’t tell you is that when you make a lot of money online, the tax man wants to talk to you about where the money went.

However, thanks to the stimulus package, I’m doing alright in the financial world, on the other hand Sallie Mae doesn’t give a crap if I am up on money, all she cares about is that I pay her back the education she fronted me.

That education doesn’t exactly have me swimming in money, and well, any stimulus I get will go to pay her and my credit card bills.

Another thing they don’t tell you about life is that dental work costs an arm and a leg. Even with Starbucks putting forth my dental plan, I had to put down 3k for a root canal and some crowns. Needless to say, all those years of brushing my teeth, getting regular check ups were all for not. In fact, it wasn’t my teeth that I had to fix; my wife had to get some dental work, and we had to pay quite a bit with money that we didn’t have…aka…credit cards. Thanks, life, you’re throwing curveballs at me left and right.

At least I still have a job…even if it isn’t exactly the most stellar of vehicles to gain income.

My grandpa died on Friday.

Well, to be fair, it was my mom’s husband’s dad, so it’s like my step-grandpa…but still, he died.

The funeral was today. No one escapes death.

I used to sell caskets, I know that to be the truth. Death doesn’t play favorites, nor is it prejudice, it takes everyone, and there’s nothing I can do to help soothe the sting of the family of the deceased.

I bought a notebook. It’s actually a composition notebook. I write a lot online, but there are times that things strike me, and I just need to let them out. It plays half journal, have idea writing mechanism, it’s my way of telling you guys that even though I write a lot online, I do a lot of writing by hand.

I’m weird, I like writing, it’s my dream; get paid for writing.
