Bully Dvd Review

Bully is like the Movie “Kids” on steroids. This movie is hard. This bully terrorizes these teens and throughout the film is practically raping chicks, and when one of his friends confronts him, he flexes his muscle and cause a rip in the relationship. The rest of the teens get a wild idea about killing him, because he deserves it, and they act on the impulses, creating a harsh reality of how bad things can get in society; as teenagers.

Here’s a trailer for the movie Bully:

This movie hard to watch, because there are graphic rape scenes in this film and they seem to last forever at times. Sure, I’m not easily offended by pornography, or anything coming from guys like Seymour Butts or Max Hardcore, but this implied teenage rape and delusional love tie ins, makes me rethink ideas of what “offensive” really could be, at least on film.

Bully is a hard film with a hard message, but justice is served at the end, but is it really justice? I had to ask myself a lot of questions after the movie was over, and good movies do that to me, they make me ask questions, and make me reflect on real life as a whole. This movie is good, but you have to sit through a lot of implied and straight forward deviant sexuality. It’s not easy, but it’s a good film and stands taller than Larry Clark’s other films. I liked it, but wouldn’t own it. In fact, I don’t know if I want to see this movie many times more in my life. Maybe when I start to forget the movie somehow, because it’s got some heavy handed sexual scenarios that I just would rather save for a triple x feature rather than a rated R feature. I don’t recommend this to everyone…that’s for sure.
