I first heard of Dinosaur Jr from watching professional wrestling. I was sitting around one night watching Monday Night Nitro, the product of World Championship wrestling, and was fascinated by a t-shirt that one of the wrestlers was wearing. It was my favorite wrestler, Raven, and he had on a Dinosaur Jr t-shirt, and that exploded my interest in the band.
This morning I am glad to read that Dinosaur Jr has inked a deal with Jagjaguwar records and that they will be putting out yet another full length album. That’s really cool, since I’ve always been down for the alternative rock movement, at least in my own cave of a dwelling that I call an office. It’s not exactly punk, but it will have to do, won’t it?
Congrats to Dinosaur Jr, even though they don’t need me to do that, they don’t know I exist…and apparently neither does anyone else.
