AFI is going to get another shot at punk rock glory with their new album Crash Love. The band plans to release this monster on Interscope Records. Hopefully this will be a return to form and rekindle the fire they had inside (a joke folks) when they made such great records on Nitro Records. If you’ve been following them at all, you are probably dissapointed that they have left their abrasive, fast roots to play more melodic and dare I say…goth music. Come on, is anyone enjoying their softer hits? I do say hits because I hear them played at Hot Topic all the time, as retail and goth hit a counter culture sleeve that was made popular by bands such as Green Day.
But once again, let’s just hope that AFI can produce a good punk record like they did back in the day, because if not…I’m going to start calling them names. Because I’m an idiot.
